A need for better IT means chocolate manufacturer turns to MICROS
County Confectionery - one of the UK’s most innovative confectionery manufacturers - has signed a new contract with MICROS for the provision of its award-winning Creations solution. Creations will replace County's existing recipe development system due to it's standard functionality. After a fairly rapid decision making process Creations was selected for its superior functionality, ‘more familiar’ user interface and the fact that it is used by all of the UK’s top grocery retailers with whom County’s trade.
County’s will initially implement the Creations’ recipe and specification management module as a collaborative tool to assist it with the development, launch and on-going management of its private-label and own branded sugar and chocolate confectionery products which are supplied to: retail multiples, department stores, symbol brands, food services, food manufacturers and importers/exporters worldwide.
Mark Brian, IT manager for County Confectionery says: “We chose MICROS as we were impressed by the company’s in-depth knowledge of our industry and also by the functionality offered within Creations. We were already aware of Creations from using the retailer’s online technical portals and knew that as a collaboration tool Creations would quicken the process of creating and submitting our new product recipe specifications and enable us to respond faster and in turn, bring more creative and exciting confectionery products to market”.
