Leading fresh produce manufacturer selects IT from MICROS
As one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh chilled produce to the UK’s major supermarkets, Kanes required a software solution that would enable it to reduce the administration time involved in completing its new product recipe specifications; Kanes Foods manufacture over 200 own-brand products annually using local, fresh produce and each product has to be managed so that it complies with certain dietary and allergen intolerance requirements. Kanes needed an integrated system that would offer fast and easy recipe specification development using a database of ingredients that could be checked for compliance at any time throughout the whole product development cycle and once approved, automatically uploaded onto its retail customer portals. Having assessed the various IT providers on the market, Kanes chose MICROS as it recognised the company as the market leader in the retail and manufacturing industries and Creations as the right solution to meet its business requirements. Creations is a fully integrated product lifecycle and supply chain management system that will assist Kanes in the design, development, validation and delivery of its food products.
