Creations helps bring European food to UK consumers
Arden Fine Foods, based in the UK, has signed a new contract for the award-winning Creations product development and lifecycle management solution. Creations will help Arden to import high-quality bakery and biscuit lines from Europe and distribute them to all of the UK's major grocery retailers. Due to Arden's rapid growth and significant increase in product lines, it needed to update its existing IT systems with a new, integrated solution that would control and optimise its supply chain. One of its main business requirements was being able to collate all of its supplier and product information into one consistent layout and send it electronically to its retail customers, without adding to its administrative overheads. Arden already knew about MICROS’ expertise in the retail sector and after a thorough evaluation, decided that Creations was the only system available with the functionality it needed to fit all of its business requirements. Also, because Creations is fully integrated, Arden knew it could use the system as a complete end-to-end business solution for managing its suppliers, projects, customers and costs. Gary Barr, commercial manager at Arden Fine Foods says: Creations will allow us to respond faster and more accurately to customer queries as its gateway module enables the transfer of data from our existing specification format to be exported via Creations to the retailers' websites, without the need for duplication. We also manage a large number of development projects and the Creations project management module provides a structured viability study in terms of profitability and operational capability."
